Sean Power

Sean Power first discovered photography at 17 when he was at high school in Florida, USA.

He joined the Royal Marines at 20 and served as a Commando for five and a half years.
In this time he was deployed for combat in Iraq, Afghanistan and Siera Leone.

Whilst in Afghanistan in 2007 he met the veteran Times correspondent Anthony Loyd who inspired Sean to leave the Marines and enrol on a BA in Photojournalism at the London College of Communication.

Since leaving the Royal Marines Sean has been working reguarly with the Royal British Legion, a charity for ex-armed forces. In 2009 he was embedded as a photojournalist with British troops fighting in southern Afghanistan and this body of work was widely published and exhibited in London.

In 2010 he became a founding photojournalist of Lacuna Media.
