Matt Cetti-Roberts
From 1994 Matt spent 7 years in the British Army, the majority serving with 9 PARA Squadron RE as a parachute engineer as part of 5 Airborne and 16 Air Assault Brigades.
During service he spent much of his time actively deployed in countries such as Northern Ireland, Bosnia and Kosovo.
After leaving the forces in 2001 Matt settled on a career as a photographer and in the years since then has worked with a diverse set of clients, ranging from US corporations to UK charities.
In 2005 he was recalled to the armed forces and sent to Iraq as a mobilised member of the regular reserve. His camera equipment went along with him and he set about documenting his tour in Iraq.
It was on an Al-Basrah street in a moment of clarity that he realised his passion lay in photojournalism.
Since 2005 he has worked on self initiated projects on varied subjects, with ongoing projects including documenting the decline of family owned boats within the UK fishing industry and another on Iraqi Journalists; the latter a body of work that started with a trip to Northern Iraq to visit an Iraqi news agency in 2008.
As well as working through Lacuna Media Matt also freelances through a UK news agency and is available for assignments through the contact details at the top of the page.
